A Derecho storm hit Iowa on August 10th, 2020 with wind speeds of up to 110 miles per hour. The storm left thousands of Iowans without power. Many Cedar Rapids residents were forced into shelters because of the extensive damage. This week we visited Cedar Rapids to get a perspective of the community and victims of Derecho. Here are the struggles and experiences through the eyes of the immigrant and refugee community.
